Jason Klobnak

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Jason Klobnak has been an active jazz trumpet player, clinician, and teacher in the Denver, CO and Des Moines, IA area for 10 years. Mr. Klobnak has many performance credentials including 4 performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival, and numerous mid-western jazz festivals and honor big bands. He has also performed with Bobby Watson, Maria Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Paul McKee, Ryan Kisor, Rob Parton, Eric Gunnison, Pete Olstad, and Dick Oatts (to name a few). Mr. Klobnak is now living in the Denver area and is an active freelance player and educator. He holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from Drake University. Mr. Klobnak has studied trumpet with Al Hood, Andy Classen, and Craig Swartz and has received additional instruction from Denver’s own Greg Gisbert, Ron Miles and Peter Olstad.
