She has played principal trumpet in the award winning DU Orchestra and Wind Ensemble and spent all four of her years in the acclaimed Lamont Jazz Orchestra. In 2005, Brynn tied for second place in the ITG Jazz Competition held in Bangkok, Thailand. She will be graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz and Commercial Music Performance in June 2006 and will be continuing her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Charles Schlueter of the Boston Symphony Orchestra this coming Fall. Brynn aspires to follow in the footsteps of the one person who has made the greatest difference in her musical life, Alan Hood. She hopes to teach at a college or university, play in a major orchestra, and tour with her own jazz group.
